Born in 1951, Kaija is a full time painter and works from her studio in Kent. She studied at Kingston College of Art.  Kaija is a regular contributor to

the Pastel Society and the Society of Women Artists, both exhibiting at the Mall Galleries in London. She is on the Council and Selection

Committee of the Society of Women Artists. Her paintings are in collections in Australia, America and Europe.

Interpretation of Kaija’s very individual paintings is subjective. It is the balance of composition, colour, line and tone that drives Kaija in the

development of her work and is more important than the starting point in this particular collection. This very personal approach culminates in

atmospheric paintings of intriguing forms in subtle hues contrasted by touches of bright colour which make the works sing.
